According to police, Austin Kaylor, 20, came to contact with the family on Monday saying he was being held hostage.
Kaylor also pointed out that if the family did not pay the ransom of $ 150, he would be killed.
After conducting an investigation, police found Kaylor in a house nearby. He tried to escape but was quickly arrested.
When asked, he admitted that he just wanted to get money to buy drugs
