Some residents were frightened, fearing that it could be a "sea monster".
However, according to marine biologist Julian Pepperell, housing shown in the image is of an eel species Muraenesox Bagio, which can reach up to 1.8 meters long.
According Pepperell, the picture angle is difficult to assess the length of the eel, but he said he believed it would have more than 1.8 meters.
